The latest CAD files leaked online appear to show the final design for the Cupertino company’s upcoming iPhone 15 series.
The phones in the series, which are set to launch in September, are said to measure 149.6mm tall, 71.4mm wide, and 8.4mm deep, making the series slightly taller and wider than its predecessor.
New iPhone 15 series design rumors
Another report claimed that the iPhone Pro will feature a 6.3-inch display, up from last year’s 6.1-inch panel. That doesn’t seem like a huge increase, but it’s the direction the market is heading.
The leaked images showed the iPhone 16 cameras mounted vertically, one on top of the other, compared to the previous pair of lenses aligned diagonally, which is a big difference. Market speculation suggests that the vertical camera arrangement will position the lenses side by side, like digital eyes, when recording video in landscape mode. This would make videos more compatible with Apple Vision Pro.
The iPhone 15 Pro is expected to have a capture button below the power button on the right side of the frame to provide easier access to the camera, as it would act like the soft shutter buttons commonly found on cameras. A light press would focus the image, while a long press would capture the image. The flash is also positioned on the side of the main and telephoto lenses.
